Happy you enjoyed the garden. We were just sitting out there listening to the bubbler and enjoying summer. We have two Humming Birds who love the flowers. They keep us entertained.
I agree with you that the "appreciation of beauty ...requires intimacy and an open heart." When my heart is open and my guard down, I see so much more.
