Like Chicken Little, I sometimes find myself anxiously running around thinking "the sky is falling, the sky is falling." It is easy to get caught up in worry about the things that aren't going well rather than enjoying what is right in my world. All it takes is a call from a loved one with a problem or a quick read of the newspaper. Before long the worries pile up and I reach a tipping point.
The work is to learn to live in the present moment and not let the stories of doom I create in my head be my reality. Easier said than done.
