Alas, Nothing to Write

Since I started to read a book on writing titled Writing Life Stories: How to make memories into memoirs, ideas into essays, and life into literature, I've lost my voice. It isn't Bill Roorbach's fault, his book is filled with constructive suggestions. I'm just too self conscious, too weighed down by the possibilities. I try to tell myself it is like learning to drive or starting a new job. Some day the learning curve will lessen and my voice will reemerge with new vigor.

Patience! There is always something to write.
