God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.A friend recently suggested I remember that sage advice when I evaluate what I can and can't do to make a difference in the world.
I always think if I am clear and state my case convincingly, reasonable people will listen. Unfortunately they don't like to hear about problems especially when they have been charmed by those in power.
I also like to believe that everyone is motivated by good intentions, but I am beginning to wonder if fear and greed rule the world.
Wisdom is hard to find.
